Adenosine Tri Phosphate or ATP has been used for many years to measure bio activity or contamination.  Recent advances in both technique and instrumentation has allowed the measurement of ATP to be used outside of a laboratory and in the hands of the average technician.  The test is now quick, accurate and easy to run.

The FQS HY-LiTE® Rapid Microbial Test for Fuel Systems is the latest break through for the rapid determination of microbial contamination.  This test method complies with ASTM D-7463.  Analysis takes less than 10 minutes, saving valuable lab time, and the results are directly proportional to the quantity of ATP present in the sample.  Whether in the field or in a laboratory, the FQS HY-LiTE® Fuel Test can be used for microbial testing of a variety of fuels such as aviation, diesel, gasoline, and biodiesel blends.  Test results are not affected by the presence of di-EGME (FSII) and approved levels of Kathon® FP 1.5 biocide (100 ppm).

APPLICATION:

HY-LiTE Plus Test is intended for detection of ATP in samples where higher than usual levels of inhibition are suspended, such as paints and coatings, metalworking fluids, hydraulic fluids, activated sludge (waste water treatment) and similar.  The HY-LiTE Plus Pen can be used to test biocide efficacy.  This method can be used to demonstrate the speed and mode of action of different biocides.  You will also need a HY-LiTE Free ATP Pen to perform the biocide efficacy test.
