Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability

The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU Biosustain) is an international research center of excellence at DTU developing next generation cell factories and bioprocesses for sustainable production of high-value chemical compounds and protein-based products. To reach its goals, the center uses advanced metabolic engineering techniques, high-throughput technologies, genome-scale models, and computational biology to ensure efficient and cost-effective design and construction processes.

A wide range of significant products, from small molecules to large proteins, can be made with cell factories.
