We offer a relational database design that is flexible and scalable to meet the needs of different research groups engaged in drug or bioenergy discovery.  The design provides for integration across different scientific disciplines with a clear focus on sample tracking, discovery screening campaigns and bioassay-directed isolation of active molecules.  The open source process is distributed, transparent and continuously evolving and we invite comments and participation from interested researchers.
