So You Want to Become Accredited?

This presentation will discuss the basic elements of laboratory accreditation and the essential quality components that laboratories must have in order to comply with the requirements of ISO 17025:2005. The development and implementation of a Quality Management System (QMS), which is the foundation on which accreditation is based, will be outlined. The requirements for method validation and verification will be clarified. The focus will be on laboratotries that conduct microbial analyses on food and environmental samples.
