The use of ozone for biological control in hydraulic fracturing (‘hydro-fracking’ or ‘fracking’) operations can represent 50% or more savings versus current chemical biocide options.  Until recently, ozone use in rugged environments and/or mobile applications was impractical due to the limitations of traditional technology.  Today, the innovative integration ruggedized ozone generator technology with advanced system controls has yielded a large-scale ozone generation platform with proven success in mobile applications under the harshest operating conditions.  The resulting ozone delivery platform can significantly reduce biocide use, lower cost, and easily adapt to rapidly changing conditions of demanding Oil & Gas production / exploration while also delivering >99.9% Operational Readiness under all conditions.  This presentation will provide an overview of the key benefits to ozone treatment and the design elements of a successfulmobile ozone generation and delivery platform.  Case study illustration of real equipment running under real-world conditions will be presented.
