Cather-associated infections give rise to an incresing number of serious illness in patient and have proven to be a challenge applying recent technologies. A new technology for preparation of silicone cathers in combination with AMPs could prove useful in solving the challenges of colonization of cathers. This talk will review the technology for preparation of silicone applying a unique interpenetrating network developed by BioModics and the application of novel AMP molecules from Novozymes against relevant pathogens.
