The classic microbiological methods used in the quality control of beer are still important. Conventional, standard-based cultivation methods are very time consuming and take 3 to 5 days for results. Most modern methods use at least a pre-enrichment step with minimal cost for the analysis and make a brewer’s life easier since critical results are available significantly faster.

HybriScan® Beer Kit is a rapid test system which detects organisms based on ribosomal RNA and leads to a faster product release by detecting all beer-spoiling contaminants within two hours and in a single assay. After two hours (pre-enrichment for 24 hours, if necessary) the brewery could have its first reliable results. Detection of organisms based on ribosomal RNA through HybriScan  rapid test system is faster and efficient. HybriScan assay also enables detection of bacterial contaminations in brewer’s yeast. It detects beer spoiling contaminants and also quantifies all bacteria.
