The study of cellulases has a long history, and the assay technology used to test these enzymes has evolved with the greater understanding of the enzymes.  We demonstrate a simple methodology which can be used for high throughput screening and for testing of biomass degrading enzyme products.  The method can improve the measurement of biomass hydrolysis performance, and is faster, more predictive and lower in cost than historical methods.
