Oil Displacing Experiment of Compound Microorganisms in High Saline Oilfield

Shuyu Cao and Zhiwei Li. The third Oil Production Plant of Qinghai Oilfield Co. Ltd., Hutugou, Qinghai, 816400, China

Due to low pressure and low permeability, Qigequan Oilfield of Qinghai (QH-QGQO, China) had a low productivity. The investigation of indigenous microorganisms in this petroleum reservoir indicated that the content of hydrocarbon degradation bacteria reached 104CFU/ml. Molecular biology investigation showed that there were a large amount of Marinobacterium and Pseudomonas, so indigenous microbial enhanced oil recovery was feasible in QH-QGQO. The experiment analyzed the emulsification and oil displacement activity of bio-surfactants produced by Exogenous microorganisms, named JHBS1 and JHBS2, and compatibility of heterogeneous exogenous microorganisms and indigenous microorganisms and the fluid in reservoir. Results indicate that bio-surfactants produced by JHBS1 and JHBS2 could decrease waxes to 80% with viscosity reducing ratio of 30%. The degradation ratio of crude oil is up to 80% after JHBS1 and JHBS2 were cultured for a week. JHBS1 and JHBS2 and indigenous microorganisms could grow well and be mix-cultured. Field experiments in two wells were successful by combining JHBS1 and JHBS2 and indigenous microorganisms. The accumulative oil increment was 1914 tonnes during the process of pilot experiment.
