Sweet sorghum was milled and sieved to 0.5-1.0 mm particle size using a Wiley mill. Two different ammonia soaking pretreatment conditions i.e. 15% NH4OH at 60 0C and 50% NH4OH at 30 0C for different sample to ammonium hydroxide ratio were evaluated with shaking at 150 rpm. Accellerase® 1500 was used to hydrolyze ammonia pretreated sweet sorghum samples. The results showed that 50 % NH4OH at 300C for sweet sorgham samples was not efficient to achieve sugar yield when compared to 15% NH4OH (1:10) at 600C.
