Previously we have been performed the isolation and growth rate of different yeast strains isolated from mezcal fermentation broths (mostos), now our laboratory team has studied the genetic characterization of these yeast strains using PCR-RAPD amplification technique. The results presentation will include DNA molecules electrophoresis analysis of oligonucleotides sieveing obtained and then the standarization conditions for PCR-RAD technique. It was possible to obtain high molecular weight DNA strands according to each different yeast evaluated except that PJMV2, PJAG1 and PJMN2 strains that showing genotipic differences for which reason the mezcal production would be distinctive.
